MEMPHIS, TENN, January 20, 2005 - Embassy Suites Hotels^®, currently with 175 hotels, will open eight new properties around the United States in 2005. The opening of these hotels represents the brand’s continued progress in expanding to new markets. The new properties will be focal points for major convention center areas and on-going urban renewal projects.

Hotel openings are scheduled for: Dulles International Airport, D.C.; La Quinta, CA; Dallas-Frisco, TX; Albuquerque, NM; St. Louis/St. Charles, MO; Hampton Roads, VA; Winston Salem, NC; and Washington D.C.

The property in Hampton, Virginia will adjoin the city’s new Hampton Roads Convention Center and also connect to 245,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space. Over the past few years a number of Embassy Suites properties have been 2005 developed with a direct connect to or in the vicinity of major conference centers around the country.

Embassy Suites Hotel – Waikiki Beach Walk
A strong development pipeline over the next few years will help the Embassy Suites brand continue to increase its presence in the U.S. and north and south of the border. In December 2004, Embassy Suites Hotels and Outrigger Enterprises, Inc. signed a franchise agreement that will turn the existing OHANA Waikiki Tower and OHANA Waikiki Village Hotels into the 421-suite Embassy Suites Hotel – Waikiki Beach Walk over the next two years. This will be the brand’s first hotel in Hawaii, joining two Embassy Vacation Resorts in Maui and Poipu Point-Kuai, and will make it one of the largest hotels in the Embassy Suites portfolio.
